KS2 Teaching Assistant – Full-Time – Blackburn & Darwen Role: KS2 Teaching Assistant Location: Blackburn & Darwen Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time, long‑term Pay: £13.75 per hour, paid weekly Apply: Send your CV directly to me A lovely mainstream primary school in the Blackburn & Darwen area is seeking a committed KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. Although the school is mainstream, the role includes elements of SEN support, so experience supporting children with additional needs is essential. What We’re Looking For To be considered, you must have at least one year of experience supporting KS2 pupils — ideally within a mainstream setting, though SEN experience is highly beneficial. We’re looking for someone confident, proactive, and able to support both whole-class learning and targeted SEN needs. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small‑group support within KS2 (Year 5/6 focused) Assist the class teacher with daily learning activities Support children with additional needs within a mainstream environment Help with interventions, behaviour support, and tailored learning Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere Ideal Candidate Qualities 1+ year experience supporting KS2 pupils Experience working with SEN (ASD, ADHD, learning needs, SEMH etc.) Strong communication and behaviour management skills Reliable, enthusiastic, and confident working independently Passionate about helping children reach their full potential How to Apply If this full-time KS2 TA role in Blackburn & Darwen sounds right for you, ➡️ Please apply by sending your CV directly to me.
