Senior Fabricator

Senior Fabricator Location: Clacton-on-Sea Salary: £27,000 to £30,500 per annum + benefits Prime Appointments is working with a growing manufacturing business in Clacton-on-Sea that is looking to add an experienced Senior Fabricator to their established workshop team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working on bespoke builds and takes pride in maintaining high standards across fabrication and day-to-day operations. While this is not a formal supervisory position, the successful candidate will play a key part in supporting colleagues, maintaining best practice, and contributing to continuous improvement within the department. The Role You will be involved in all aspects of fabrication, from material preparation through to completed builds, working from detailed drawings and contributing to the efficient running of the workshop. Key responsibilities include: Cutting and assembling materials in line with specifications, processes and cut programmes Interpreting CAD and SolidWorks drawings to produce accurate, high-quality fabrications Supporting production schedules through effective teamwork and communication Capturing and uploading photographic records of completed work in line with quality procedures Assisting with stock rotation, inventory checks and material control Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment Reporting hazards and actively promoting health and safety best practice Supporting equipment upkeep and general housekeeping Leading by example and contributing to departmental improvementsSkills and Experience Hands-on experience in fabrication and the use of cutting and assembly tools Ability to confidently read and work from CAD and SolidWorks drawings High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach Understanding of quality control processes and stock management Proactive, reliable and safety-conscious work ethic Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks effectively Experience working within an ISO9001 environment is beneficialWhat's on Offer Salary between £27,000 and £30,500 per year, depending on experience Bonus potential of up to 10% of basic salary Option to purchase additional annual leave Full sick pay scheme after one year's service Pension scheme Occupational health and wellbeing support Salary sacrifice schemes including Electric Car, Technology and Cycle to Work Regular one-to-one reviews, training and development opportunities Team-building activities, social events and additional workplace benefitsIf you meet the above criteria and would like to be considered for the Senior Fabricator role, please apply with your CV or contact Lauren at Prime Appointments for a confidential discussion. #Tier1
