Design Manager – Facades & Cladding Location: Leicester (Office-based / Hybrid) Salary: Up to £65,000 (DOE) + package About the Role An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager specialising in facades and cladding to join a growing contractor based in Leicester. You will manage the façade design process from pre-construction through to installation, ensuring technical compliance, buildability, and programme alignment. Key Responsibilities * Manage façade design development across multiple projects * Coordinate architects, consultants, and specialist designers * Ensure designs comply with building regulations, fire safety, and CWCT standards * Review and approve design drawings, calculations, and specifications * Manage design risk, technical queries, and change control * Support pre-construction, estimating, and delivery teams * Attend design team and client meetings Requirements * Proven experience as a Design Manager (or Senior Designer) within facades and cladding * Strong technical knowledge of façade systems (rainscreen, curtain walling, SFS, glazing, fire compliance) * Experience working on commercial and residential projects * Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines * Strong understanding of UK building regulations and façade standards What’s on Offer * Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience * Attractive benefits package * Long-term career progression within a specialist contractor * Involvement in technically challenging and high-profile projects
