Roofing Sales Specialist – Internal Sales Location: Watford, WD25 Salary: £35k Hours: Monday – Friday 7am – 5pm Alt Saturdays 7am – 4pm About the Role: As a Roofing Sales Specialist, you’ll manage inbound roofing enquiries, support both trade and commercial customers, and convert leads into confirmed orders through expert advice and tailored solutions. You’ll play a key role in driving roofing sales growth while delivering a smooth, professional customer journey. Benefits: * Perkbox – 24/7 discounts, wellbeing support, online GP & more * Company Pension Scheme * Group Life Assurance (up to 3x salary, subject to length of service) * Staff Discount on all products * Cycle to Work Scheme * Employee Assistance Programme * Long Service Awards * 23 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays + Birthday Day Off Key Responsibilities: * Handle all roofing sales enquiries with confidence and technical expertise * Build and maintain strong relationships with trade and commercial customers * Provide specialist advice on roofing products and systems * Prepare accurate quotations, process orders, and manage follow-ups * Maintain accurate CRM records and track sales performance * Work closely with branch teams, suppliers, and operations to ensure seamless order fulfilment * Re-engage lapsed accounts and identify upselling opportunities within the Watford area * Support roofing product promotions and marketing initiatives * Share market insights, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback to support continuous improvement Requirements: * Proven roofing sales experience (essential) * Strong product knowledge across pitched and flat roofing systems, membranes, insulation, and accessories * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills * Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and projects * Customer-focused with strong commercial awareness * Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools (preferred) * Experience within building materials or construction supply (desirable)
