Site Engineer / Shift Supervisor – Manufacturing Location: Liverpool Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm Overtime: Available Benefits: Holiday & pension scheme (details to be confirmed) The Opportunity An established manufacturing business within the flooring / building materials sector is seeking a Site Engineer / Shift Supervisor to take ownership of a critical production line within its Liverpool facility. This is a hands-on, floor-based role combining engineering responsibility with shift leadership. You will be accountable for maximising uptime, performance, and safe operation of a specialist production line, while supervising and developing a team of factory operators during your shift. Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, this role offers autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a visible impact on output, reliability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Take full engineering ownership of a specialist production line, including PPM and breakdown response Minimise downtime through effective fault-finding and rapid repair Optimise machine performance to meet output, quality, and yield targets Supervise and lead factory operators on shift, including training and handovers Enforce health & safety standards, safe systems of work, and housekeeping Maintain accurate maintenance, downtime, and shift records Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and upgrades Manage critical spares and liaise with purchasing and warehouse teams Identify recurring issues and drive long-term reliability improvements About You – Key Requirements Experience as a Site / Shift Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong hands-on maintenance and breakdown repair capability Able to fault-find across a multi-machine production line Experience supervising or training production / factory staff Strong safety-first mindset with confidence enforcing standards Clear communicator with a structured, organised approach Desirable: Recognised engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3+, HNC) Multi-skilled background (mechanical & electrical) Exposure to continuous improvement / lean manufacturing If this role is of interest, please press apply or get in touch with Ryan Guy on (phone number removed) or
