HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver (26t) – Newcastle Salary: Circa £38,000 + bonus (up to 15%) Hours: 48 hours per week (including breaks) Location: Newcastle We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join a busy transport operation based in Newcastle. This is a key, customer-facing role, ideal for a professional driver who takes pride in their work and enjoys being out on the road delivering a reliable, high-quality service. As a 26t Collection Driver, you’ll play an important part in ensuring collections are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with service level agreements. The Role * Carry out collections from residential and commercial locations as directed by the transport team * Safely load, secure, and transport materials to designated waste transfer stations * Complete multiple collections per shift, managing time effectively * Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues * Ensure all documentation and administration is completed accurately at point of collection * Deliver excellent customer service and handle on-site queries professionally * Liaise with the transport team regarding delays, issues, or failed collections * Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation * Operate vehicles safely, courteously, and in full compliance with road traffic laws, driver hours, and working time regulations * Follow all health & safety procedures, including correct use of PPE What We’re Looking For * Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence * Driver CPC and DQC card * HIAB / ALLMI certification * Clean DBS check * Strong attention to detail, particularly with vehicle checks and paperwork * Calm and adaptable approach in a fast-paced, changeable environment * Confident communicator with a professional, customer-focused attitude What’s On Offer * Competitive salary of circa £38,000 * Performance-related bonus of up to 15% * Stable, full-time role within a well-established transport operation * Supportive management and clear communication from the transport team If you’re a reliable Class 2 HIAB Driver looking for a secure role with good earning potential in Newcastle, we’d love to hear from you. 👉 Apply today to find out more
