HVAC Engineer

HVAC Service Engineer Location: Glasgow (field-based across Central Scotland) Salary: £37,000 - £47,000 DOE Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Benefits: Company van, fuel card, overtime, call-out, pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays An established HVAC company is recruiting an experienced HVAC Service Engineer to cover Glasgow and the wider Central Scotland area. This is a service and maintenance-focused role working across commercial and light industrial environments. The Role Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs Fault diagnosis across electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components Service and maintenance of: Split & multi-split air conditioning systems VRV / VRF systems AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems Heat pumps and chillers (experience dependent) Leak detection, pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging Completion of service reports, F-Gas records, and compliance documentation Liaison with clients, site contacts, and support teams Compliance with F-Gas regulations, health & safety, and site procedures Participation in an on-call rota (typically 1 in 6-8) Candidate Requirements Essential: Proven experience as an HVAC or AC Service Engineer F-Gas Category 1 Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Good electrical and mechanical knowledge Full UK driving licence Ability to work independently in a mobile role Desirable: NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Experience with chillers, heat pumps, or BMS-controlled systems 18th Edition (BS7671) IPAF / PASMA Commercial service and maintenance background Working Environment Commercial and light industrial sites including offices, retail, healthcare, education, and distribution Service-led role (no installation bias) Strong technical and administrative support Realistic workloads and organised call-out structure Interested?
