Reliability Based Systems Engineering Support

Overview This Reliability Engineering vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation. The job holder will be engaged in a wide variety of Systems Engineering activities covering the entire engineering lifecycle. Specific experience FMEA and FMECA Responsibilities As a reliability support engineer the role may include but is not limited to the following types of activities centred on reliability analysis whilst working alongside in support of design teams. Reliability analysis (typically predictions, FMECA and Critical Items Lists). Reliability based hazard analysis Root cause analysis development of relaibilty programmes Qualifications Degree level qualification an engineering or technical subject. A lower qualification would be acceptable for example HNC/HND should the candidate be able to demonstrate significant demonstrable experience in lieu.Essential skills Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to modify the message to pitch at all levels of the organisation A thorough and methodical approach to work with high quality and accuracy The ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals The ability to interpret and produce technical documentation, such as SOR, SOW & trade studies Desired skills Part stress reliability prediction using Mil-Hdbk-217 and FIDES (new projects increasingly using FIDES). Understanding of predictions for mechanical items necessary for some equipment. FMECA skills for complex electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. Critical Item List preparation. Use of Windchill Use of reliability tool sets. Experience Engineering based experience, also as a relaibility engineer.
