Position: Youth Support Worker Location: Watford Salary: £25,857 per annum Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Join our compassionate team at Watford YPHS, supporting young people aged 16-24 to feel respected, included and empowered as they build independence and work toward brighter futures. The Role Create personalised support plans Promote life skills and practical independence Support access to education, training and employment Provide compassionate emotional support and respond to crises Signpost to health and wellbeing services Work shifts of 2.30pm-10.30pm, 10.30pm-7.30am, 7.30am-3.30pm (including weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins) Transport young people when needed (full UK driving licence + business insurance required)Training & Requirements Understanding of trauma and a non-judgemental approach Strong communication and ability to work both independently and collaboratively Commitment to start NVQ Level 3 (Children & Young People’s Workforce) within one year Sign up to the DBS Update ServiceHightown Benefits £25,857 per annum (37.5 hours per week) 33 days annual leave, including bank holidays, rising to 35 days with service Blue Light Card, access to discounts for national and local retailers Mileage paid for car usage Workplace pension and life assurance (three times annual salary) Annual performance bonus and monthly attendance bonus Annual salary and cost of living review Ongoing training and development Employee assistance helplineAppointments are subject to satisfactory right to work, enhanced DBS, reference, and medical checks.
