Applications Engineer – CNC Mill/Turn Worcester (with UK travel) | £36,000 - £42,000 + Door-to-Door Pay | OTE circa £50,000 | Permanent Skilled CNC Programmer looking to step off the shop floor into a technical, customer-facing role? This is your chance to join a leading CNC machine tool manufacturer as an Applications Engineer, using your programming and setting expertise in a completely new direction. If you're confident programming and setting mill/turn machines, enjoy problem-solving, and want to help customers optimise their machining processes, this role offers comprehensive training to develop your career in applications engineering. What you'll be doing: Providing technical support and machining expertise to customers and internal teams Planning and running cutting trials, demonstrations, and technical presentations Delivering customer training sessions on CNC controls and CAM software Representing the company at UK and international exhibitions Responding to technical queries and providing on-site support Working with sales and engineering teams on project handovers Staying current with machining methods, tooling technologies, and measurement systems This is a varied role - you'll be working with some of the most advanced turning machines available, solving real technical challenges, and helping customers get the best from their equipment. What you need: Strong CNC mill/turn programming and setting background Confident with CAD/CAM Experience in subcontract machining or precision engineering Excellent communication and problem-solving ability Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent) HNC/HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is desirable but not essential.
