Civil Engineer – Infrastructure / Drainage Location: Glasgow Our client, a respected multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer to join their established team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer seeking exposure to a wide range of infrastructure and development projects across Scotland and the wider UK. The Role You will be involved in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects including roads, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The role offers strong technical development and clear progression within a supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities Civil engineering design for infrastructure and drainage projects Preparation of detailed design drawings, reports, and specifications Drainage design including SuDS and flood risk assessments Coordination with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders Supporting projects through planning, detailed design, and construction Site visits and technical support during construction Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Typically 2–6 years’ experience in a UK consultancy environment Working knowledge of UK design standards and regulations Experience with drainage design software (e.g. MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage) Familiarity with AutoCAD (Civil 3D beneficial) Progressing towards Chartered status (ICE) Strong communication and organisational skills What’s on Offer Competitive salary based on experience Hybrid and flexible working arrangements Support towards ICE Chartership Varied project portfolio and long-term career development Friendly and professional working environment
