Commercial Contracts Manager

We are working exclusively with a well-established and growing specialist within the passive fire protection sector, to appoint a commercially astute Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager to take ownership of their commercial and operational performance across Scotland. This is a senior, influential position offering genuine autonomy for someone who wants to shape a business, not just manage it. The Opportunity This role will suit an individual who is commercially minded, entrepreneurial, and operationally strong—someone who can run contracts end-to-end, introduce new ideas, improve processes, and help drive the business forward. You will be trusted to run operations your way, develop relationships, open new doors, and play a key role in the strategic growth of the company. Key Responsibilities * Full commercial management of passive fire protection contracts * Overseeing QS functions, valuations, variations, cost control and final accounts * Managing contracts from pre-construction through to completion * Supporting and improving operational performance across projects * Developing and maintaining strong client relationships * Identifying new opportunities, frameworks, and routes to market * Implementing new ideas, systems, and commercial strategies * Working closely with directors to help shape business direction About You * Proven experience within passive fire protection (essential) * Background as a Commercial Manager, Quantity Surveyor, or Contracts Manager * Strong commercial awareness with a proactive, solutions-led mindset * Comfortable taking ownership and accountability * Confident dealing with clients, stakeholders, and site teams * Ambitious, forward-thinking, and motivated to grow a business * Based in Scotland or willing to travel across the region What’s on Offer * Competitive salary (DOE) * Company vehicle or car allowance * High level of autonomy and decision-making authority * Opportunity to shape and grow a respected business * Long-term career progression with a stable and ambitious employer Apply If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real impact rather than just fill a position, this is an opportunity worth exploring
