Refrigeration Engineer Location: London & Greater London Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum OTE: £55,000 - £65,000 (with overtime & call-out) Benefits: Company vehicle, fuel card, overtime, standby allowance, tools, PPE, training Role Overview We are recruiting an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to cover London and surrounding areas. This is a mobile service role working across commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems in retail, hospitality, and commercial environments. The successful engineer will carry out planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault-finding, and repairs while maintaining high safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Service & Maintenance Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of commercial refrigeration systems Reactive and emergency breakdown response Accurate diagnosis of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical faults Component replacement including compressors, fans, valves, evaporators, and controls Pressure testing, evacuation, leak detection, and refrigerant charging in line with F-Gas regulations Systems Worked On Walk-in cold rooms (chilled & frozen) Multideck, upright, and undercounter display cabinets Pack systems and remote condenser units Freezers and blast chillers Split A/C and light commercial VRF/VRV systems Compliance & Customer Interaction Completion of service reports, F-Gas logs, and compliance documentation Ensuring works meet health & safety and legislative requirements Liaising with site managers and facilities teams Providing technical advice and repair recommendations Requirements NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning F-Gas Category 1 (essential) Proven commercial refrigeration service experience Strong electrical fault-finding skills Full UK driving licence Ability to work independently and professionally Interested?
