We are currently recruiting for an Mechanical Assembler/Mechanical Fitter for our client in Christchurch. For the role of assembly mechanic you will be required to repair, modify or overhaul a variety of aircraft parts and components. Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembler / Mechanical Fitter include: Overhauling and modifying mechanical, pneumatic, heat transfer, electronic, air turbine, and electro-mechanical aircraft components Fault finding, strip-down, initial inspection, parts call-up, rebuild, and final testing Working to approved technical data, service bulletins, and maintenance manuals Prioritising and processing units to meet customer delivery dates Completing all work in line with quality procedures and approved manuals Essential skills for this Mechanical Assembler / Mechanical Fitter role: Strong mechanical assembly and fitting experience Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Confident in inspection, measurement, and fault diagnosis Comfortable working to strict procedures and quality standards A methodical, organised approach to hands-on engineering work Desirable experience: Aerospace or aviation component overhaul experience Background in precision engineering, hydraulics, pneumatics, or electro-mechanical systems Experience working within regulated or audited environments If you’re an experienced Mechanical Assembler / Mechanical Fitter who wants to be part of a business that values precision, people, and progress, get in touch.
