Senior Quantity Surveyor


A respected, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy with a growing portfolio of UK-based commercial and public sector projects is looking to hire a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its expanding London office. Known for delivering high-quality developments across the commercial, residential, and education sectors, this consultancy offers a supportive environment and clear progression opportunities for ambitious professionals. This is a key position for a confident and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working in a client-facing role and is comfortable leading projects from inception through to completion. The role includes full involvement in cost planning, tendering, contract administration and final account delivery, working closely with clients, contractors, and design teams. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will take on responsibility for multiple schemes, with the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to internal business development initiatives. You'll be part of a dynamic, collaborative team that values high standards, professional growth, and long-term relationships. Senior Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities Produce early-stage estimates and cost plans for a range of construction projects Manage procurement, including drafting tender documents and analysing bids Lead contract administration and monitor ongoing project costs and changes Carry out valuations, review applications for payment, and agree final accounts Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery Support junior staff and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processesSenior Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related RICS-accredited field MRICS status preferred or working towards APC At least 4 years' experience within a consultancy or client-side environment Strong technical knowledge of pre and post contract services Confident communicator with the ability to manage client relationships effectively Proven experience delivering commercial, residential, or education projectsIn Return Competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience 23 days holiday plus bank holidays Hybrid working model (office and home) Support with chartership or continued CPD Access to a variety of interesting London-based schemes Genuine long-term career progression to Associate level and beyondIf you are a Quantity Surveyor considering your career opportunities, then please contact Dan McEvoy at Brandon James.
