Continental Shift Engineer – Slough Salary: £48,000 + 10% Bonus Benefits: Training, Holiday, Pension, Private Healthcare The Opportunity Our client, a global leader in data centre solutions, is seeking an experienced HV-authorised Shift Engineer to join their team in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a critical data centre environment, supporting high-profile banking and enterprise clients. You will be part of a high-performing team maintaining mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance across all systems. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain HV electrical systems, UPS, generators, transformers, and switchgear. Manage both single-phase and three-phase systems. Maintain VRV systems and other mechanical plant as required. Work safely and efficiently on a continental shift pattern (6 on / 4 off, days and nights). Ensure all activities comply with site policies, health & safety, and client standards. Support critical operations in a high-stakes banking or data centre environment.Candidate Requirements HV Authorisation is essential. Proven experience working in data centres or critical banking facilities. Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical environments. Ability to work independently and as part of a team under high-pressure conditions.
