What You'll Do In this high-impact role, you'll contribute to the full radar development lifecycle-from early concepts to live trials and deployment. You will work alongside leading engineers and specialists to create advanced radar system capabilities. Your responsibilities will include: Developing sophisticated mathematical models of radar systems and sub-systems using MATLAB, Simulink, Mathcad, and related tools. Creating new radar system concepts and digital signal processing algorithms. Translating complex analysis into accurate design data for hardware and software teams. Validating hardware and software performance against stringent requirements. Producing detailed technical specifications that drive next-generation product development. Analysing radar performance, including data from live trials, and preparing clear technical reports for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborating with international suppliers to ensure components meet top-tier performance standards. Presenting your work confidently to customers and technical audiences. Playing a major role in defining future radar architectures and system capabilities. Travelling within the UK and internationally (occasionally at short notice) to support trials, customer engagement, and technical collaboration.If you're motivated by complex engineering challenges, innovation, and real-world impact, you'll excel here. What You Bring (Essential) Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline from a reputable university. Strong experience with MATLAB and digital signal processing. Knowledge of radar or related domains (e.g., sonar, communications, image processing). Proven ability to deliver high-quality design and analysis on schedule. Self-motivated, curious, and collaborative approach. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
