A leading construction company is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Office Manager to join their team on a 1-year fixed-term contract in Newcastle city centre. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the smooth running of a dynamic office, supporting senior management and ensuring business operations run efficiently. The Role: As the Office Manager, you will be the backbone of the office, responsible for overseeing daily operations and creating a productive work environment. Your role will involve managing administrative tasks, supporting various departments, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Key responsibilities include: * Overseeing office operations, supplies, and facilities management to ensure a well-organised workspace. * Coordinating meetings, scheduling appointments, and making travel arrangements for senior staff. * Handling administrative tasks, including document control, correspondence, and record-keeping. * Supporting HR with onboarding new employees, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with payroll and benefits administration. * Working closely with the finance team to manage office budgets and expenses. * Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies. * Acting as the key point of contact for external vendors, contractors, and service providers. * Identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance office efficiency. What We’re Looking For: To be successful in this role, you will need to be a highly organised and adaptable Office Manager with strong problem-solving skills. You should have: * Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role within the construction sector * Strong organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). * The ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle multiple priorities efficiently. * A good understanding of office procedures and best practices, ideally within a construction or similar industry.
