Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Vehicle Technician/Mechanic * 45 hours per week Monday-Friday + 4.5 hours over time * Currently 1 in 3 Saturdays required (paid at overtime rate) * Salary £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience/skill set * Bonus if any annual depending on company profits between £500- £800 * Holiday allowance 21 + bank holidays * Pension nest * Onsite parking available * Uniform provided * Any additional perks free mot x 1 * Use of ramps in own time and weekends * Additional training offered -Hunter lazer wheel alignment training and MOT. Duties of a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic: * Servicing * Diagnostic work * General maintenance and repairs * Brakes checks and changes (pads and discs) * Suspension work * Road testing vehicles after repair * Repairing and replacing wheel bearings, alternators, and head gaskets * MOT Prep & Post MOT repairs * Working on ramps 2 and 4 post / (1 x hunter 4 wheel lazer system 4 post, 4x2 post ramps, 1x scissor lift, and 1 x 4 post mot ramp. ) tyre fitting a/c 1234yf and 134a * Change tyres, complete puncture repairs, wheel alignment and balancing * Repairing and replacing exhausts, steering racks, and water pumps * Repairing and replacing radiators, clutches and gearboxes * Timing Belts & Cambelt replacements * Oil changes and part changes e.g. Filters Vehicle Technician/Mechanic Requirements: * Ideally have an NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI certifications required to Level 2/3 or be time served with 5+ years within the industry * MUST hold a full valid driver license - No major driving convictions DD, DR, IN * Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service. * Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment
