Business Development Lead – Defence Markets Hybrid | Cambridgeshire £75,000 – £85,000 + benefits Must be a British citizen able to gain SC clearance *Please only apply if you have commercial experience in the UK Defence sector* We are seeking an experienced Business Development Lead to play a key role in identifying, shaping and securing new commercial opportunities within the UK Defence sector, including the Ministry of Defence and its supply chain. This role suits a commercially driven individual with a strong technical background and a proven track record of selling complex, technology-led solutions into Defence environments. Key Responsibilities Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities within Defence markets Lead the development of proposals, bids and tenders, taking opportunities through to close Build and manage senior client relationships, supporting delivery teams during project execution Work closely with internal technical teams to translate customer needs into compelling solutions Identify and engage potential partners to support collaborative bids Generate leads through industry networking, events, trade shows, existing contacts and targeted outreachProfile Demonstrable success selling into Defence and/or MOD environments Strong understanding of structured sales and bid processes Experience in account management and long-term client development Engineering or science degree essential, with the ability to engage confidently in technical discussions Commercially astute, credible with senior stakeholders, and comfortable operating in complex sales cyclesIf you feel this is the next exciting step for you, please don't hesitate to reach out
