Electronic Engineer

This is a rare opportunity to work with a globally respected organisation that has been innovating for over a century, delivering cutting-edge, bespoke machinery and instrumentation used worldwide. 📍 Location: Maidenhead, UK 🏢 Working pattern: 3 days on-site / 2 days remote 🔧 What You’ll Be Doing * Lead the design, development, and delivery of electronic systems from concept through to production. * Design multi-layer PCBs and schematic capture using Altium Designer. * Develop embedded firmware in C / C++ for microcontroller-based systems. * Design and implement motor control solutions (stepper and DC motors) for precision machinery. * Build, test, debug, and validate hardware prototypes in a hands-on environment. * Ensure designs meet EMC, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements. * Produce robust documentation for production, testing, and certification. * Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and automation engineers to deliver fully integrated systems. * Provide technical leadership on projects, including planning, reviews, and delivery. * Mentor and support junior engineers, setting best practice across hardware development. 🔍 What We’re Looking For * Degree (BEng/BSc or higher) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar. * Strong, hands-on background in hardware and PCB design (multi-layer). * Proficiency with Altium Designer. * Solid experience with embedded C/C++ and microcontrollers. * Practical experience with motor control (stepper and DC motors). * Good understanding of EMC, safety standards, and compliance. * Experience working on bespoke machinery, scientific instruments, automation, robotics, motorsport, or aerospace systems. * Comfortable working across the full product development lifecycle. * Confident communicator with the ability to lead technically and mentor others. ✨ Why This Role?
