Job Description – Sales Specialist: IT Managed Services Location: UK Wide Hybrid, flexible working Key Highlights: Identifying opportunities in an existing, spending account base. Using your IT Managed Services knowledge to spot opportunities Technical back-up provided to support in scoping solutions. 5+ years of selling I Managed Services to SMB/Corporate clients required. There is a large amount of Whitespace and commission is uncapped. Overview: The Sales Specialist will be a key driver in the successful market penetration and revenue generation of our IT Managed Services portfolio. This role requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. Success in this role hinges on the ability to build strong relationships, effectively communicate managed services value propositions, and proactively identify growth opportunities both within the existing customer base and in new markets. This position is within the newly created Managed Services business unit, so adaptability and the ability to contribute to the creation and refinement of sales processes are essential. The ideal candidate will bring a structured approach to their work, demonstrating discipline and focus in all sales activities. As this is a senior sales role, a track record of a minimum 5-8 years of successful field sales experience in IT Managed Services is required. The role is UK-wide and requires flexibility and willingness to travel within the UK. Responsibilities: Sales Execution and Pipeline Management: * Drive pipeline development and manage the sales process from lead generation to close for IT Managed Services (including managed infrastructure, cloud, security, and support services). * Collaborate closely with Account Managers to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing customers for managed services. * Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the managed services space. * Conduct service demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, emphasizing the value proposition and alignment with customer needs. * Negotiate and close managed services contracts, ensuring favourable terms for the company. * Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and quotas (bookings). * Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports. Stakeholder Collaboration and Dependencies: * Collaborate with Account Managers to identify whitespace opportunities and develop strategies for cross-sell and upsell of managed services. * Partner with Customer Success to ensure customers maximize the value of their managed services investment and to identify further sales opportunities. * Work closely with the marketing function to support the success of managed services campaigns. * Provide feedback to the service development team on customer needs and market opportunities. * Work closely with relevant partners to leverage tools and knowledge for pipeline creation and deal velocity. * Contribute to the development of the managed services unit’s go-to-market strategy. Value Proposition Expertise: * Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments in IT Managed Services. * Demonstrate a deep understanding of the business value proposition: to be the customer’s most trusted advisor for managed IT services, enabling customers to be more successful through reliable, secure, and scalable IT operations. * Articulate this value proposition effectively to customers, tailoring the message to their specific business needs and demonstrating how managed services will help them optimize, secure, and transform their IT environments. Sales Operations: * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system. * Prepare sales reports and forecasts as required. * Bring a structured approach to the sales process, demonstrating discipline in pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting. * Maintain focus on key priorities and execute sales activities with consistency and rigor. Specific Qualifications: * This role is within our Managed Services business unit and requires relevant experience in IT Managed Services. * Strong technical understanding and experience in managed IT services, including infrastructure, cloud, security, and support. * Minimum of 3 years’ experience with managed services providers or IT vendors YOU MUST BE A BRITISH CITIZEN OR HAVE INDEFINITE LEAVE TO REMAIN TO APPLY FOR THE ROLE
