Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Westford, Massachusetts (on-site, 5 days per week) Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent We are seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy and support the next phase of growth in a dynamic, PE/VC-backed environment. Reporting to the Board, you'll set financial direction, strengthen controls and processes, and act as a key business partner across operations, sales, and technology, with a strong focus on scalability and future planning. This role suits a high-energy, hands-on leader with executive presence, strong people skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Key Responsibilities Deliver annual financial metrics and a 5-year growth plan Lead FP&A, budgeting, and cost analysis (bids, proposals, COGS savings) Oversee cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships Ensure financial reporting and compliance (DCAA/DCMA, UK Companies House) Manage capital structure, equity reporting, and future financing Partner cross-functionally on pricing, bids, and operational decisions Lead and develop the finance team Oversee financial systems (NetSuite, Power BI) Support M&A and strategic partnership activity About You Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting 5+ years' experience at Controller, Finance Director, or CFO level Manufacturing experience essential Chartered Accountant or CPA desirable PE/VC experience a plus Willing to travel quarterly Benefits Medical insurance through United Healthcare (3 plan options) Dental and Vision insurance via Principal Short-Term Disability and Term Life insurance (Long-Term Disability for executives) 20 days' annual leave, 5 sick days, and 13 holidays Safe Harbor retirement plan with 3% employer contribution (no employee match required)
