Freight Operator

Experienced Freight Operator with specifically Sea Freight expertise required to join an established team. Sea Freight Import/Export operations are core focus of role, alongside supporting air/road freight bookings and business development. Ideal candidate for the role of Freight Operator would possess strong sea freight knowledge, be committed to delivering excellent customer service and have a strong understanding of international forwarding processes and excellent communication skills. Freight Operator Duties: * Manage sea freight import/export files from quotation to delivery * Support air and road freight bookings (full training provided) * Liaise with customers, agents, and suppliers * Arrange customs clearance and final delivery * Resolve operational issues professionally * Ensure accurate file costing and invoicing * Make outbound calls to customers and prospects to help grow our multimodal offering Freight Operator Skills & Experience: * Minimum 2 years’ experience in Sea Freight operations - essential * Strong understanding of international forwarding processes * Experience with customs clearance procedures * Excellent communication and customer service skills * High level of accuracy and attention to detail * Strong organisational and time management abilities * Proactive problem-solver with a positive approach * Experience in airfreight or road freight is desirable but not essential (training provided) Location: Redditch, Worcestershire Hours: Mon to Fri 8 am – 5 pm Salary: £34,000 p.a. - £36,000 p.a. dependent upon experience Benefits: EAP, Attendance Bonus, Training and Development, Pension, Parking Contract: Permanent If you are an experienced Sea Freight Operator, please apply today
