Materials Controller Exhall Temp to Perm £14 p/h Our client, are a forward thinking business who manufacture quality components for a variety of different industries. Key Responsibilities * Manage the goods-in, stores, and despatch functions to maintain an efficient, reliable materials service that supports production. * Operate material‑handling equipment, including counterbalance forklift trucks and the automated billet saw, to supply machining teams with required materials. * Coordinate with internal teams, external customers, and suppliers to schedule and manage deliveries. * Oversee despatch operations, working closely with the Planning Manager to ensure all outgoing products are correctly packaged, protected, and presented to uphold and enhance the company’s reputation. * Provide accurate material availability updates to support new sales orders and production planning. * Handle the procurement of non‑production items (e.g., stationery and departmental supplies), acting as the main point of contact for non‑production material suppliers. * Foster strong working relationships across departments to support a collaborative and productive team environment. Experience & Skills Required * Experienced in material handling, logistics, or coordination within a manufacturing environment. * Previous stores/warehouse experience, ideally with exposure to quality control processes. * Experience in goods-in operations, including booking and recording incoming materials. * Some background in purchasing direct and indirect materials. * Ability to use precision measuring tools such as verniers and micrometers. * Computer literate, with basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Shift Monday to Thursday – 7:30am to 4:30pm Friday – 7:30am to 12:30pm Pay £14 p/h This is a Temporary to Permanent role What Next?
