This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate or Junior Design Engineer to join a growing New Product Development team within a well-established manufacturing business operating in the healthcare sector. You’ll be supported by experienced engineers and exposed to the full product lifecycle — from initial concepts and 3D modelling through to testing, refinement and manufacture. It’s a hands-on role with genuine progression for someone keen to learn and develop their engineering career. The role includes: · Supporting the design and development of new products for international markets (including the US) · Creating and modifying 3D models using SolidWorks · Assisting with product drawings, specifications and technical documentation · Supporting product testing and validation activities and making design amendments · Working closely with manufacturing, quality and operations teams · Gaining exposure to regulated product design within a healthcare environment · Occasional overseas collaboration as your experience develops What we’re looking for: · A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related discipline · Graduate-level candidates or those with 1–2 years’ design engineering experience · Some experience using SolidWorks (academic or commercial) · A practical, hands-on mindset with an interest in seeing designs beyond CAD · Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn · Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude Why join? · Salary of £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience · Structured support and development from experienced engineers · Exposure to full lifecycle product design · Some flexibility with working hours, but generally earlier start/finish · Company pension scheme · 25 days holiday + bank holidays · Clear progression opportunities as the team continues to grow This role is being handled by Emily Powell and Sammy Messenger, Manufacturing, Engineering & Technical Specialist at Pearson Whiffin Recruitment.
