Mechanical Project Manager

Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager Location: Maidstone (Projects across the South & London) Salary: £70,000 basic + £5,000 car allowance Overview A well-established M&E Subcontractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to deliver mechanical services projects from inception through to final handover. This is a senior role within a business that benefits from a strong internal support infrastructure across commercial, procurement, design, and technical teams. Projects are typically valued up to £10 million and span Commercial, MOD, MOJ, Healthcare, and Education sectors across the South and London. Key Responsibilities * Take full ownership of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover * Manage project planning, programming, and resource allocation * Work closely with procurement, commercial, and design teams, supported by a robust internal infrastructure * Manage and coordinate mechanical subcontractors and suppliers * Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders * Control costs, variations, and commercial reporting in collaboration with the commercial team * Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and regulatory standards * Lead internal and external project meetings * Oversee commissioning activities and ensure successful project handover and close-out Requirements * Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within M&E or building services * Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems * Experience delivering projects from inception to handover, including projects up to £10 million * Experience working on Commercial, MOD, MOJ, Healthcare, or Education projects (desirable) * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills * Good commercial and contractual awareness * Willingness to travel across the South and London Package * £70,000 basic salary * £5,000 car allowance * Company benefits package * Long-term career progression within a well-resourced M&E Subcontractor
