Rigger Braintree | UK-Wide Travel & Overnight Stays Required We're working with a specialist engineering contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Rigger to support a wide range of complex projects across the UK. This role offers genuine variety, working across telecommunications, structural and architectural steelwork, floodlighting, gantries, defence, and radar installations. You'll be part of a safety-focused, professional team delivering bespoke engineering solutions nationwide. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Braintree due to office-based work when not on site. The Role Preparing, inspecting, and securing loads prior to movement Setting up, levelling, and operating rigging and lifting equipment Assembling and dismantling rigging systems including beams, pulleys, clamps, and fixings Carrying out pre- and post-use inspections of all rigging equipment Climbing and working safely at height on masts, towers, and steel structures Installing feeder support systems and TX link supports Manoeuvring loads using heavy machinery and manual handling techniques Supporting site surveys and inspections when required Working in line with RAMS, SSOW, and site-specific safety procedures Communicating clearly with team members and site supervisors Supporting office-based duties in Braintree when not on siteWhat We're Looking For Essential: Valid Working at Heights certificate IPAF qualification Proven ability to work safely at height Strong knowledge of rigging equipment and lifting operations Physically fit and able to pass a medical Clear communication skills and a team-focused approach Full UK driving licenceDesirable: First Aid at Height Slinger Signaller / Site Access Systems tickets Telecommunications sector experience Confident preparing and working with RAMS, SSOW, and SOW Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365What's On Offer Involvement in bespoke, technically varied engineering projects Strong safety-first culture with experienced leadership Ongoing training and development opportunities Long-term, stable position within a growing specialist businessInterested?
