Trainee Estimator – Interior Fit-Out & Specialist Joinery Location: West London Sector: Interior Fit-Out, Joinery, Partitions & Specialist Interiors About the Company We are working with a well-established and growing London-based interior fit-out contractor operating at circa £20m turnover, with over 15 years’ experience delivering high-quality interior environments across the UK. The business specialises in interior fit-out, bespoke joinery, partitions, glazing and specialist finishes, delivering projects within the commercial, hospitality and refurbishment sectors. With a strong forward order book and £30m+ of live tenders, the company is continuing to invest in its pre-construction team as part of a wider growth strategy, including a planned move toward main contractor delivery. Renowned for its attention to detail, collaborative working style and technical capability, the company works closely with architects, designers and clients to deliver complex, design-led interiors. The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Estimator to join an experienced commercial and pre-construction team and develop a long-term career within interior fit-out and specialist joinery. You will be supported and mentored by senior estimators and directors, gaining hands-on exposure to live tenders, cost planning and supply chain engagement on high-quality interior projects. Key Responsibilities: Assist senior estimators with pricing interior fit-out, joinery, partitions and finishing packages Take off quantities from drawings and specifications Request and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations Help build cost plans, tender returns and comparison sheets Maintain pricing databases and cost records Support value engineering exercises and tender clarifications Attend internal pre-construction meetings and supplier meetings Learn tender strategy, risk analysis and commercial best practice Projects You’ll Be Exposed To Commercial office and CAT A / CAT B fit-outs Luxury hotel and hospitality refurbishments Joinery-intensive and architecturally detailed interiors Projects typically ranging from £1m–£12m+ About You A genuine interest in construction, interiors or commercial estimating Degree, HNC/HND or college background in construction, surveying or a related field (preferred but not essential) Strong numerical and analytical skills Good attention to detail and willingness to learn Confident communicator with a proactive attitude Ambitious and keen to develop into a full Estimator role Why Apply?
