We're recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a Heavy Industrial environment in Ipswich, Suffolk. This is a stable, days-only position offering mechanical work across heavy plant, machinery, and site equipment. The Maintenance Engineer Role * Mechanical maintenance, servicing, and repair of plant and machinery * Strip-down, inspection, rebuild, and reassembly of engines and mechanical components * Fault-finding and breakdown response on mechanical systems * Supporting installations, upgrades, and planned maintenance * Participation in a rotating weekend call-out (additional pay) * Occasional travel to nearby sites Maintenance Engineer- What We're Looking For * Maintenance engineering experience * Level 3 Mechanical qualification or strong hands-on experience * Ability to strip down and rebuild engines confidently and safely * Background in Heavy Industrial plant maintenance, or similar * Comfortable working in a physical, industrial environment * Experience from agriculture, food, waste management, or manufacturing welcome * Basic electrical knowledge Maintenance Engineer - What's On Offer * £42,000 basic salary * Overtime * Company vehicle and telephone * Holidays plus bank holidays * Pension scheme * Ongoing training and development This engineering role offers long-term stability, steady work, and no nights work.
