We are working with a manufacturer based in Stoke On Trent seeking a proactive and driven Purchasing Specialist to join their team. Key Responsibilities * Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and services to support production and operational needs. * Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. * Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to forecast purchasing requirements. * Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to achieve best-value outcomes. * Analyse market trends, supplier performance, and cost data to support decision-making. * Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant industry standards. * Resolve supply issues promptly to minimise disruption to operations. Skills & Experience * Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination ideally within manufacturing or a similar sector. * Strong negotiation and communication skills. * Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities. * A proactive approach to problem-solving and supplier management
