Job Title Quality Assurance Manager Reports To Vice President, Quality Systems Job Summary This role is ideal for an experienced Quality Assurance professional who is ready to deepen their expertise, expand their regulatory knowledge, and grow into a broader leadership position. The Quality Assurance Manager plays a key role in ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across multiple quality and safety programs, while working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. The position offers hands-on exposure to aviation quality systems, regulatory audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. It is well suited for someone who enjoys working in a structured, compliance-driven environment and is motivated to build new skills in quality systems management, auditing, and organizational leadership. Primary Duties and Responsibilities The responsibilities listed below outline the core expectations of the role but are not intended to limit additional duties as business needs evolve. Maintain and continuously improve all Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and certification requirements. Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation of updates across relevant certifying authorities (e.g., FAA, EASA, UK, CAAC, and others). Plan, conduct, and follow up on internal audits; document findings, track corrective actions, and report results to leadership. Collaborate with Quality Control personnel to ensure training programs, manuals, and records remain current and compliant. Participate in and lead annual product and process audits required by regulatory agencies, including on-site assessments. Serve as a backup facilitator for quality and compliance-related training sessions. Act as a liaison between Quality, Engineering, Production, and Leadership teams to communicate regulatory updates and quality expectations. Support audits and evaluations of manufacturing and testing processes during customer visits or regulatory inspections. Assist with implementation and maintenance of workplace organization and efficiency programs (e.g., 5S), as needed. Identify, document, and support resolution of quality process discrepancies. Promote and reinforce a strong safety and compliance culture throughout the organization. Maintain compliance with applicable Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. Coordinate with senior leadership on external audits and compliance activities; recommend improvements to facilities, safety systems, or processes. Assist in tracking and analyzing quality trends, warranty data, and discrepancies to support continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to quality-related projects and initiatives that support long-term operational excellence. Skills and Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. 3-5 years of experience working within aviation quality, regulatory compliance, or a related quality assurance environment. Familiarity with aviation regulations and quality standards; A&P license is a plus but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish language skills are a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills for moderately complex issues.
