Project Manager - M&A Integrations


Talented People are recruiting on behalf of a national brand who are experts within their sector for a Project Manager to oversee project inception and development of mergers and acquisitions. Job Title: Project Manager – M&A Integration Location: This role is home working with travel needed dependent on business need with a requirement to travel to their Head Office either monthly or quarterly to team meetings. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager with M&A integration expertise to oversee the planning, coordination and execution of strategic merger and acquisition initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, HR, Technology, Operations and the M&A team to manage timelines, align stakeholders and deliver seamless post-merger integrations. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage M&A integration projects across all phases: planning, execution, monitoring and closure. * Oversee the integration or migration of IT systems, platforms, and tools (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS), ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. * Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and reporting dashboards. * Coordinate with functional leads to ensure alignment of all workstreams (finance, HR, technology, legal, operations, external vendors, etc.) and on-time delivery. * Drive integration planning and execution, identifying key milestones, risks and dependencies. * Facilitate effective communication between internal stakeholders, external advisors and leadership teams. * Track synergy realisation and integration KPIs to measure deal success. * Develop and manage project budgets, resource plans and vendor relationships. * Prepare status updates, executive presentations and post-deal reports; ensure proper documentation of plans, decisions and changes for future audits and lessons learned. * Support change management initiatives and cultural alignment activities. * Identify and implement process improvements to optimise future M&A execution. Qualifications Required: * Solid experience of project management experience with clear experience focused on M&A integration or large-scale transformation projects. * Proven experience managing IT system integrations, data migrations, and infrastructure consolidations however, this role isn’t solely on IT migrations. You will experience in wider project management processes. * Strong understanding of the M&A lifecycle, from due diligence through integration. * Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. * Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira). * Strong financial and operational acumen. Preferred: * PMP or PRINCE2 certification. * Experience in post-merger integration (PMI) or corporate transformation.
