Mechanical Fitter – Croydon Area Ceto Talent is urgently hiring Mechanical Fitters for an established engineering workshop in Croydon. This ongoing role offers stability and growth in a busy environment working on the overhaul of mechanical equipment for sectors including rail, marine, and power. Mechanical Fitter responsibilities: * Strip-down, inspection, assembly, and testing of gearboxes, couplings, transmissions, and cooling systems. * Reading technical drawings and working to precise tolerances. * Maintaining high standards of safety and quality. What we need: * Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally with rotating equipment. * Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently and in a team. * Relevant qualifications or time-served apprenticeship preferred. * You must be eligible to work in the UK. What’s on offer: * Salary: £29,000–£43,000 (depending on experience). * 36.5-hour week: Mon–Thu 07:00–15:00, Fri 07:00–13:30. * Overtime available + annual bonus + benefits (pension, healthcare, life assurance).
