Project Manager (Shopfitting)

The Client: A well-established and highly regarded specialist contractor delivering bespoke joinery, interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across the commercial, residential and public sectors. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship, quality and repeat business, the company continues to secure a steady pipeline of high-profile projects, primarily across London. The Role: As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of projects on site, managing programmes, subcontractors and client relationships to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to the highest standard. The role is predominantly site-based in London, overseeing multiple fit-out and joinery projects from pre-start through to completion. This position is open to candidates seeking either a permanent role or a contract/freelance engagement, offering flexibility for the right individual. Responsibilities: * Manage the delivery of multiple joinery and fit-out projects across London. * Take ownership of site operations, programme management and quality control. * Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to meet programme targets. * Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and internal stakeholders. * Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures. * Monitor progress, report on performance and resolve site issues proactively. * Manage variations and work closely with commercial teams to maintain project margins. * Oversee project handovers and completion documentation. Qualifications & Experience: * Proven experience as a Project Manager within joinery, fit-out or refurbishment environments. * Strong understanding of site-based delivery and subcontractor management. * Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment. * SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications preferred. * Comfortable working predominantly on London-based sites. Salary / Rate & Package: * £60,000 – £70,000 per annum (permanent) or competitive day rate for contractors. * Long-term pipeline of London-based work. * Opportunity to work with a respected specialist contractor on high-quality projects.
