Fire Engineer – Mission Critical / Data Centre Projects (Dublin | Hybrid) €85,000 – €95,000 + Benefits A leading international engineering contractor—widely recognised for delivering Europe’s most complex hyperscale data centres and mission-critical facilities—is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join their expanding Dublin-based engineering division. This organisation is known for exceptional technical capability, long-term financial stability, and deep partnerships with major global tech clients. Their projects include advanced technology, life sciences, and hyperscale data centre developments across Europe. This is a strategic role supporting fire strategy development, fire safety systems, and compliance across large-scale, high-specification engineering projects. The position offers hybrid working and long-term career progression. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement fire strategies for major hyperscale and mission-critical projects • Coordinate fire engineering design with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and commissioning teams • Review and approve fire protection system designs (sprinklers, gas suppression, alarms, smoke control, compartmentation) • Ensure compliance with Irish, EU, and international fire safety standards and codes • Conduct fire risk assessments, technical evaluations, and safety audits • Provide technical guidance to design teams, site teams, and client representatives • Support commissioning of fire safety systems and review test documentation • Prepare reports, fire strategy documents, and compliance certification • Liaise with building control, local authorities, third-party fire consultants, and insurers • Contribute to continuous improvement in fire safety across multiple project phases About You • Degree in Fire Engineering, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or related field • 5+ years’ experience working as a Fire Engineer on large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects • Strong technical understanding of fire detection, suppression, smoke control, compartmentation & fire dynamics • Experience working with major contractors, design consultancies, or specialist fire engineering firms • Excellent communication and report-writing skills • Ability to influence design decisions and ensure fire strategy clarity • Based in Dublin with hybrid working available • Full right to work in the EU What’s On Offer • €85,000 – €95,000 salary + benefits • Hybrid working model from Dublin • Work on some of Europe’s most advanced hyperscale data centre programmes • Long-term career growth with a top-tier international engineering contractor • Exposure to complex engineering, high-spec safety systems, and world-class project teams
