Quantity Surveyor West London | High-Quality Residential Refurbishment | Permanent or Freelance | Jan 2025 Join a contractor delivering high-quality refurbishments, extensions and bespoke renovation projects across Kingston, Richmond, South West & Central London, and Surrey. They operate with a £3m annual turnover, delivering projects typically ranging from £500k to £2m. With architects, an interior designer and site managers already in place, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor who can support both estimating and post-contract commercial delivery as the business formalises two operational divisions. This is a hands-on role within a growing, owner-managed company where you'll work directly with the Directors and play a key part in shaping commercial structure, subcontractor coordination and project delivery. The Role • Provide commercial support across live refurb, residential and interior projects • Prepare valuations, variations, subcontractor accounts and cost reporting • Support estimating: take-offs, pricing, tender enquiries and early feasibility work • Help coordinate subcontractors as the business establishes a subcontract-delivery division • Work closely with the Directors, Architects and Interior Designer on design-led schemes • Assist with project management duties to ensure smooth, well-controlled delivery • Implement structure, clarity and consistent commercial processes across the business What they're looking for • Quantity Surveyor with some estimating capability • Background in residential refurbishment, extensions, basements or small-to-medium construction projects • Commercially aware and confident supporting both pre-con and live project duties • Someone who thrives in a smaller, hands-on environment with real ownership • Organised, reliable, adaptable able to take weight off the Director's shoulders • Open on level: strong intermediate or established QS The Company They deliver a wide range of high-quality building and renovation projects with a strong focus on: • Design-led residential refurbishments • Extensions, reconfigurations and bespoke interiors • Small development schemes • Subcontract-delivered projects coordinated in-house Their ethos is collaborative and customer-centric, with an emphasis on attention to detail, considered design solutions and high-quality materials.
