German Speaking HR Administrator


Applicants MUST be fluent in both written and spoken German. Position We have a unique opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator to support both the HR Department and the wider administration team. The primary responsibilities of the HR Administrator include maintaining personnel files, supporting employees, and recruiting interns from Germany. This is a broad, autonomous role and is well suited to HR professionals seeking a long-term career who are able to work with the highest level of discretion. Key Responsibilities * HR administration, including administrative, recruitment, and onboarding tasks related to employee data, using the HR system (Cezanne) * Updating employee data and staff lists * Planning and coordinating the intern recruitment process, including sponsorship arrangements and supporting interviews * Managing and supporting the visa process for interns * Conducting required pre-employment checks * Maintaining records in the Single Central Register * Providing support to all employees with Cezanne troubleshooting * Preparing employee letters, certificates, and completing forms (e.g. for intern recruitment) * Managing employee training and courses within the HR system * Carrying out DBS checks * Managing leaver processes (documentation in Cezanne and communication with other departments) * Supporting the HR Manager in the development and implementation of new projects * Completing additional administrative tasks as required * Ensuring HR compliance in relation to data management, including the storage and deletion of digital and paper records * Managing HR files and data for Sudbrook School Requirements Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Criminology, Psychology) or an equivalent qualification in HR administration Discretion in handling sensitive information relating to the school and its employees, and adherence to data protection legislation Fluent German, both written and spoken At least 3 years’ professional experience in HR or an administrative role Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure Basic knowledge of employment law Excellent time management skills A structured and detail-oriented working style Confident use of MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams) Ability to work independently and show initiative within defined guidelines and processes Strong interpersonal and employee-focused skills A collaborative and collegial approach to teamwork Experience with school operations would be advantageous Flexibility when deadlines are approaching Integrity and the ability to remain impartial Openness to new learning processes and change, with a positive attitude towards professional development and training Other Information We offer: Competitive salary depending on experience A varied and interesting role A high level of autonomy 25 days’ annual leave plus public holidays Excellent pension contributions Enhanced sick pay Attractive offices in a rural setting on the banks of the River Thames Cycle-to-work scheme Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Language: German (required) Work Location: In person
