Electrical Testing Engineer – UK Wide We are seeking skilled and motivated Electrical Testing Engineers to carry out Fixed Wiring Testing (EICR) across a wide range of domestic and commercial properties nationwide, with a strong focus on social housing and local authority contracts. This is a UK-wide role with work allocated regionally where possible. Engineers may be required to travel within their designated area and occasionally further afield, depending on contract requirements. The role involves delivering high-quality electrical testing, inspection, and remedial works to ensure full compliance with current regulations. You will be responsible for producing accurate electronic certification using EasyCert or similar software, along with completing job notes, photographs, and reports within agreed timescales. All test equipment, materials, PPE, and a company vehicle are provided. A practical assessment may be required prior to placement. Key Responsibilities * Carry out EICRs in domestic and commercial properties in line with client and statutory requirements * Identify, report, and complete remedial electrical works safely and efficiently * Ensure all work complies with BS 7671, Health & Safety legislation, and company procedures * Complete all electronic certification, reports, job notes, and photographs accurately and on time using approved mobile applications * Communicate professionally with residents, clients, local authorities, and internal teams * Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company positively at all times * Maintain company-supplied tools, equipment, PPE, and vehicle to a high standard * Participate in ongoing training and development as required * Support operational improvements and changes to enhance service delivery * Undertake additional reasonable duties as requested by management Required Skills & Experience * Strong knowledge of the UK electrical industry, particularly testing and inspection * Proven experience in EICR certification, fault finding, and diagnostics * Ability to work independently and as part of a wider regional or national team * High attention to detail with accurate reporting of completed and recommended works * Experience using mobile devices and digital certification software * Strong practical ability and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Positive attitude, reliability, and strong time management Qualifications * City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (or equivalent) – Mandatory * City & Guilds 2391-51 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent – Mandatory * City & Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) – Desirable * Asbestos Awareness – Desirable (training available) * Full UK Driving Licence – held for a minimum of 12 months Performance Indicators * High standard of completed testing and inspection work * Accurate and timely submission of electronic certification and reports * Proper care of company tools, equipment, PPE, and vehicle * Clean, well-maintained company vehicle * Professional appearance, including uniform and ID badge compliance
