Site Engineer - Civil Engineering Location: Site-based - Stratford or London Bridge, London Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent An established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join its delivery team on major projects in London. The role is site-based and will involve working on schemes in the Stratford or London Bridge areas. Key Responsibilities Setting out for all aspects of civil engineering works using EDM/GPS Managing and overseeing drainage installations (foul and surface water) Supervising groundworks including excavations, foundations, and concrete works Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and method statements Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams Maintaining accurate site records, including as-built information Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met at all times Assisting with quality control and technical problem-solving on site Requirements Proven experience in a Site Engineer role within civil engineering Strong setting out experience (groundworks, drainage, RC, external works) Proficient in the use of surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Good understanding of health & safety procedures Valid CSCS card SMSTS certification (or working towards) Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline preferred Strong communication and organisational skills What's on Offer Competitive salary, dependent on experience Opportunity to work on high-profile London projects Long-term, stable workload Supportive and professional site team environment Tax free annual bonus
