QA Engineer

An established and fast-growing UK retail and e-commerce organisation is seeking a QA Engineer (Automation) to join its technology team based in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment where quality, scalability, and innovation are central to ongoing digital growth. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript * Build and enhance automation frameworks from the ground up * Ensure test solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with best practices * Test complex e-commerce customer journeys across web platforms * Conduct manual API testing * Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines * Collaborate closely with development and product teams to ensure high-quality releases Skills & Experience * Strong experience in test automation for web applications * Proven experience creating automation frameworks from scratch * Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and automation best practices * Hands-on experience testing e-commerce platforms and workflows * Experience with API testing Desirable Experience * API automation experience * Mobile automation using Appium * Experience testing Hybris platforms (advantageous but not essential) Package & Benefits * Competitive salary * Pension scheme * Long service awards * Employee discount * Cycle-to-work scheme Role Details * Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time * Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:45 – 17:30 * Location: London office with hybrid working (2 days onsite per week) By applying for this position, you confirm that you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the purposes of recruitment, employment and working finding service
