2 CAD Designer ( Laser )

Are you a 2d CAD Engineer looking for an opportunity to join a busy sales/ estimating team within a leading Laser Cutting and forming company ? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 2D CAD Engineer on behalf of our client who are a busy and established laser cutting company. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in engineering or laser technology, with a strong emphasis on utilising Lantek software. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to innovative projects in a collaborative environment. Duties / Experience * The candidate must have the ability to read engineering drawings and be able to produce profile drawings using an AutoCAD 2d type software package. * Previous experience from an Engineering background and/or working with Lantek software would be an advantage, although not essential. Preferably able to recognise material types e.g. S275, S355, CR4, 304, 316 etc. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and produce detailed 2D CAD drawings and designs using Lantek software. * Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and client requirements. * Review and modify existing designs to improve efficiency and functionality. * Maintain accurate documentation of design processes and updates. * Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues promptly. * Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Requirements * A minimum of 5 years of solid experience in an engineering or laser background. * Proficiency in Lantek software is highly advantageous. * Strong understanding of CAD principles and practices. * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to work to instruction and be flexible with roles in an extremely fast-moving environment. Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-4.30pm with 1 hour each day for lunch, (8 hours per day 39.5 hours total per week).
