Senior Project Manager for a major Offshore Wind Project based in Ireland Responsibilities Develop and manage optioneering studies for offshore transmission systems, including export cables, substations, and grid connection points. Assess technical, environmental, and commercial viability of multiple design options. Collaborate with developers, regulators, grid operators, and internal teams to define requirements and constraints. Represent the TSO in consultations and technical workshops. Work with engineering teams to evaluate HVAC configurations, routing, and landfall options. Oversee environmental and consenting considerations during early-stage planning. Support and input into development of cost models, risk assessments, and schedule scenarios for each option. Provide recommendations supported by robust analysis for decision-making. Prepare business cases and and summarise optioneering reports for senior management and regulatory submissions. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks. Requirements Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline. Minimum 10 years' experience with minimum of 5 years' experience in offshore wind. Proven experience in early-stage development or feasibility studies for large infrastructure projects (preferably offshore wind or transmission systems). Strong understanding of offshore and onshore electrical infrastructure Excellent analytical, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills Chartered Engineer or PMP/Prince2 certification. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks for offshore transmission Familiarity with marine routing, environmental constraints, and consenting processes
