Job Title Band 6 Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist - Community Adults Vacancy Reference GCTM0 Vacancy Type Locum Location Community-based MSK service - Havering area Department Community Adults Hours Full-time, Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week Shifts: 08:00-16:00 or 08:30-16:30 Start Date ASAP Role Overview An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join a busy Community Adults MSK team. The post holder will manage a caseload of MSK patients, conducting assessments, providing treatments, making onward referrals, and performing clinical administration within a well-established team. This is an autonomous clinical role, ideal for a physiotherapist with prior experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and a strong understanding of community-based services. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of MSK patients, delivering comprehensive assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. Conduct clinical administration including maintaining accurate patient records and treatment plans. Make onward referrals to other services as required based on patient needs. Provide evidence-based treatments for musculoskeletal conditions, promoting functional recovery and rehabilitation. Use the Rio system (essential) to manage patient information and provide clinical reporting. Contribute to service delivery improvements and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring high levels of professionalism and patient satisfaction. Essential Requirements HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist. Significant experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, particularly in community settings. Proficiency in using Rio system (essential). Experience with e-referrals (desirable). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including telephone and email correspondence. Ability to work independently and manage own caseload effectively. Desirable Experience Experience working within community adult MSK services. Familiarity with NHS systems and processes.
