Project Manager

PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Project Manager in London/Kent. This will be working for a reputable contractor within the Civils industry. They are seeking people with earthworks, enabling works and groundworks experience. More information below! Job Summary The Project Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of civil construction projects from award through to completion. This includes planning, commercial management, programme control, team leadership, client liaison, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Leadership Take full responsibility for project planning, execution, and delivery Lead and manage Site Agents, Sub Agents, Engineers, Foremen, and support staff Establish clear project objectives, roles, and performance expectations Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders Programme & Planning Develop, manage, and monitor construction programmes Ensure effective sequencing of works and resource planning Monitor progress and implement corrective actions where required Chair and attend progress meetings Commercial & Cost Management Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting Identify, assess, and manage variations and claims Control procurement, subcontractor agreements, and supplier contracts Maximise project profitability while maintaining quality and safety Health, Safety & Environment Take overall responsibility for project HSE performance Ensure safety policies, procedures, and systems are implemented Promote a strong safety-first culture across all project teams Ensure compliance with statutory and client safety requirements Quality & Compliance Ensure works meet contractual, technical, and quality requirements Oversee QA systems, inspections, and testing Ensure accurate project documentation and records are maintained Risk & Stakeholder Management Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies Manage client communications, reporting, and expectations Resolve issues, disputes, and technical challenges efficiently Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil construction or infrastructure Strong technical understanding of civil works (earthworks, drainage, pavements, concrete, services) Solid knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Qualifications (Desirable) Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Relevant professional or industry accreditation Safety certifications (WHS / CSCS or equivalent) Experience delivering projects under major contracts (NEC, FIDIC, AS, etc.) Personal Attributes Accountable and results-driven Safety and quality focused Commercially astute Strong problem-solving and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Contact Dan Confrey at PSR
