Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

M&E Estimator with Drylining Experience Location: Pontyclun, South Wales Type: Permanent Salary: £70-000 to 75,000 p.a. + 10% bonus Join a leading local team and make an immediate impact on high-profile projects. We are seeking an experienced M&E Estimator with strong drylining expertise to join on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver accurate, competitive estimates for mechanical, electrical, and drylining packages. The Role * Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects, with a focus on M&E and drylining packages. * Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare material, labour, and subcontractor costings. * Source, negotiate, and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations. * Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and the wider commercial team to ensure estimates align with project requirements. * Contribute to tender submissions, value engineering, and risk analysis. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing, supply chain trends, and construction techniques. * Attend site visits as required. Required * Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry, with strong drylining and M&E project knowledge. * Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. * Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. * Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular). * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to projects and offices.
