Teaching Assistant (SEMH) – Immediate Start | Brent Salary: £115 – £135 per day (depending on experience) Contract: Full-time, Long-term Start Date: Immediate A supportive and inclusive school in Brent is seeking a passionate and resilient Teaching Assistant (SEMH) to join their team immediately. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of young people who need extra guidance, encouragement, and understanding. The Role: Supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Working 1:1 and in small groups to promote positive behaviour and engagement. Assisting teachers in creating a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment. Implementing effective behaviour management strategies. Encouraging emotional development and resilience through consistent support and mentoring. Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs. Strong behaviour management and communication skills. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Ability to build positive relationships and act as a role model. Available to start immediately.
