Waste Management Technician

IMH Recruitment are seeking a proactive Waste Management Technician for our client in Leicester. This is a hands-on role with a mixture of field-based and office-based responsibilities. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to any RHWS in the county, with mileage reimbursed in line with policy. Duties: * Handle low-level complaints from customers face-to-face, via telephone, and email. * Use MS Office packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to enter and manipulate data, draft reports, and create presentations. * Assist with supervision of low/medium value waste-related contracts. * Support the review and development of the Service’s Health & Safety management system. * Support the review and development of the Service’s Quality Management System. * Deliver training packages to operatives and assist them with online learning. * Assist with recruitment for vacant positions across the Service. * Operate the Whetstone site weighbridge to provide cover (training provided). * Stock control and ordering. * Delivering training, contract supervision etc. Essential Requirements: * Technical experience and knowledge on H&S, delivering training, contract supervision etc. * Strong IT skills. * Good interpersonal, numeracy, and literacy skills. * Experience dealing with customers. * Experience delivering training packages. * Valid UK driver’s licence for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, access to own vehicle, and insurance covering business use. Desirable Requirements: * Valid and relevant Certificate of Technical Competence with evidence of continued competence. Hours & Pay: * Monday–Friday, occasional weekends. * Full-time, averaging 37 hours per week. * Immediate start for 6 months initially, with potential for extension * £14.83 Per Hour. * Weekly pay whilst through the agency! * Whetstone RHWS & WTS / County Hall and potential Hybrid working option.
