This is the perfect role for someone with basic mechanical, electrical or practical skills who wants to develop into a fully qualified engineer. You'll receive on-the-job training, work alongside experienced professionals, and build your expertise across a wide range of commercial door systems. What you'll be doing: Assisting with repairs, servicing and installations of roller shutters, industrial doors, automatic doors, sectional doors and glazing systems. Learning how to diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance, and keep equipment working safely and reliably. Working on schools, offices, corporate buildings and other public and commercial sites. Helping complete job sheets and service records while learning industry standards and best practice. Providing friendly, professional customer service as you develop in the role.The person we need: Has practical or hands-on ability - this could come from mechanical work, electrical basics, construction, metalwork, toolmaking, or similar. Is eager to learn, reliable, and confident working with tools and equipment. Can work safely and is comfortable assisting with lifting or handling larger components. Has good communication skills and a positive, customer-focused attitude. Has basic IT skills. Holds a full UK driving licence.
