Groundworks Site Manager Location: Exeter Project: Major Groundworks Package Duration: Long-term We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to join a large-scale groundworks package on a major project in Exeter. This is a long-term opportunity offering stability and the chance to work on a substantial, well-structured scheme. Key Responsibilities: * Day-to-day management of groundworks operations on site * Coordinate and manage subcontractors, labour, and plant * Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification * Plan and sequence works in line with the construction programme * Maintain high standards of health & safety and site compliance * Ensure quality control across all groundworks activities * Liaise with project management, engineers, and client representatives * Manage site documentation, permits, and daily records Requirements: * Proven experience as a Site Manager on large groundworks packages * Strong background in groundworks including drainage, foundations, RC and earthworks * SMSTS certification * CSCS (Manager level) * Strong leadership and organisational skills * Ability to manage multiple work fronts in a fast-paced environment Desirable: * First Aid at Work * Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor * Experience on large commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects What’s on Offer: * Long-term work on a major groundworks package * Competitive rate or salary (DOE) * Exeter-based project * Immediate or short-notice start available If you are an experienced Groundworks Site Manager looking for long-term work on a major project in Exeter, please apply with your CV
